In 2024, this commitment was strengthened with the launch of our Circular Program, an ambitious initiative to promote concrete practices of eco-responsible office design in all our projects.
A lasting commitment within a demanding European framework
Sustainability standards such as CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) and CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) are becoming increasingly important. For this reason, Bedimo is fully committed to this dynamic. In fact, we integrate these principles into our projects in order to take action on environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues. This enables us to meet today's challenges while preparing for tomorrow's demands.
An approach rooted in sustainability
Eco-responsible office design is at the heart of our identity. Our ISO 9001 (quality) and ISO 14001 (environment) certifications, obtained as early as 1997, reaffirm this commitment. Every year, we measure our carbon footprint with D-Carbonize to define concrete actions for reducing it. We also promote short supply chains and work with local partners, such as PlantC, to support reforestation projects in Belgium.
The Circular Program: concrete actions to reduce environmental impact
With the Circular Program, we're transforming workspaces with a focus on the circular economy. The program is based on three main pillars:
- ♻️ Second life for furniture: By selecting and reconditioning second-hand furniture, we reduce waste while valorizing existing resources.
- 🌱 Sustainable furniture: Our solutions include furniture designed from recycled or end-of-production materials, combining design and durability.
- 🌍 Ecological completion: We use environmentally-friendly materials such as low-emission floor coverings and paints to limit the environmental impact of our worksites.
Finally, we support our customers in the evaluation of their existing furniture to identify parts that can be reused or to direct those that can no longer be reused towards appropriate recycling channels.
